MEASURING DC VOLTAGE
1. Connect the black test lead to "COM" jack, and the red test lead to "VΩ" jack.
2. Set the function switch to desired  position.
3. Connect the test leads to the electrical source or load to be measured.
4. Read the voltage value on the LCD. The polarity of the red test lead will be indicated along with the voltage value.

MEASURING AC VOLTAGE
1. Connect the black test lead to "COM" jack, and the red test lead to "VΩ" jack.
2. Set the function switch to  position.
3. Connect the test leads to the electrical source or load to be measured.
4. Read the reading on the LCD.

MEASURING AC CURRENT
1. Set the function/range switch to desired AC current range position.
2. Press the trigger and clamp the jaw around the conductor to be tested.
Make sure that the jaws are perfectly closed.
Note:
  a. Each time only one conductor should be clamped.
  b. The conductor should be in the center of the area closed by the jaws in order to get an accurate reading.
  c. Don’t touch the conductor with your hand.
3. Read the reading on the display.

MEASURING RESISTANCE
1. Connect the black test lead to "COM" jack, and the red test lead to "VΩ" jack.
2. Set the function/range switch to the Ω range position (symbol “Ω” appears on LCD).
3. Connect the test leads across to the resistance to be measured, read the reading on the LCD.
Note:
1. If the resistance is >1MΩ, it takes several seconds for the reading to stabilize. It is normal.
2. If the input terminals is in open circuit, overrange sign will be displayed on LCD.
3. Before measuring in-circuit resistance, make sure that the power supply of the circuit has been switched off and all the capacitors have been discharged.

MEASURING DIODE
1. Connect the black test lead to "COM" jack and the red test lead to "VΩ" (Red test lead is positive).
2. Set the function/range switch to  range position. Press “SELECT” button to make “” appear on LCD.
3. Connect red test lead to the anode of the diode, black test lead to the cathode of the diode.
4. Read the forward voltage on LCD.

AUDIBLE CONTINUITY
1. Insert the black test leads to “COM” jack, insert the red test lead to “VΩ” jack (Note: the red test lead is positive).
2. Set the function switch to  position.
Press the “SELECT” button to make “” appear on LCD.
3. Connect the test leads across the circuit to be measured. If its resistance is < about 50Ω, the buzzer will sound, and it means the circuit is well connected.

MEASURING TEMPERATURE
1. Connect the K Type thermocouple to the “COM” jack and the “VΩ” jacks.
2. Set the function/range switch to “°F/°C” position.
Press “SELECT” button to select temperature unit.
3. Contact the object to be measured with the thermocouple carefully.
4. When the thermocouple has reached the same temperature as the object’s temperature, read the reading on the display.

AUTO POWER OFF
If the instrument is not used and stays in a range position for more than 15 minutes, it will auto power off and change to be in sleep state. To arouse the instrument from sleep, move the function/range switch or press a button.
